Growing up in Lamontville, his passion for music developed early, influenced by assisting his late uncle in carrying music equipment for gigs. His curiosity eventually led him to start practicing independently, and by the mid-2000s, he was already producing music.
His breakthrough came in 2016 when he contributed to Babes Wodumo’s debut album, Gqom Queen Volume 1, particularly with the track Umngan’wami. This pivotal moment helped popularize the Gqom genre in South Africa.
In 2021, he released Phuze and its remix, featuring Zaba, Mpura, Sir Trill, and Rascoe Kaos. The original track was certified Gold, while the remix achieved Platinum status from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).
His 2023 single iPlan, from the EP Permanent Music 3, dominated the charts, reaching number one on The Official South African Charts’ Local Streaming Top 10, Local & International Streaming Top 10, and Billboard South Africa Songs. It also earned a 2× Platinum certification.
On July 5, 2024, Dlala Thukzin dropped AmaGear, a collaboration with Zee Nxumalo and Funky Qla, featuring MK Productions. The song debuted at number five on the Local Streaming Top 10.
