Naked DJ, whose real name is Quinton Masina, was born on August 12, 1980, in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa. Although he was born in Gauteng, his immediate family originally came from Mpumalanga, a province in eastern South Africa that borders Mozambique and Eswatini. They later settled in Benoni, within the Ekurhuleni Municipality of Gauteng.

His mother is a successful entrepreneur who runs a salon and a private preschool, while his father worked as a human resource manager. Quinton has four siblings, all of whom have ventured into the entertainment industry. His sisters, Ntando and Hlelo, are actors, and his brother Fortune is an award-winning creative director and producer at Urban Brew Studios in South Africa.

Quinton Masina, also known as Naked DJ, has been in several relationships, which made him a frequent topic of online rumors. His first wife was Bulelwa, and they had a child together.
